One of the most anticipated transfers in the world since last year has not happened yet. Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid was initially expected to happen in the summer transfer window. But after a set of disappointing negotiations, the Madrid side recently said no to the French star twice. However, was that ‘no’ only for the last transfer window? A senior journalist mentions a possible reattempt by Real Madrid next summer.
PSG was adamant about keeping the star for an extra two years with a view to offering him a permanent place. But the star on the other side will not mention anything firm about his long-term commitment. Hence, experts feel Real Madrid may move for the star again due to the player’s ambiguous silence.

Los Blancos have made a good start to this year’s soccer journey. After losing striker Karim Benzema, they still lost only a single match until now, with a couple of draws. But the missing number nine in the squad will still keep them on their toes. And Real Madrid will look to replace Benzema with another world-class attacker. Although the Madrid team may have backed out of Mbappe’s deal, senior journalist Alex Kirkland says that Real Madrid has a chance to sign the striker next summer.
Kirkland said, “Of course, we’re getting there because, from January, Mbappe will be free to negotiate with any club he wants to because his PSG contract expires next summer.”
With Kylian Mbappe’s deal in the doldrums, Real Madrid seemed to have been demotivated by all the unsuccessful attempts. But Kirkland mentions that the Vikings have the best chance of signing the star in the next transfer window, as Mbappe will be free to negotiate starting in January.
Mbappe, however, remains silent on the issue but also refuses to sign an extension at Paris Saint-Germain. The club has not been in mixed form this season, with a couple of wins and losses in the Champions League and placing 2nd in the Ligue Un table. Mbappe, on the other hand, still remains the MVP for the team with the most number of goals (12) until now. The PSG striker still remains the most wanted player in the market, and it has to be seen how Madrid steps ahead next.

Real Madrid denied the rumors of Mbappe deal
After the transfer deal collapsed in the summer of 2022, with the player extending his stay at Parc des Princes, Real Madrid still did not give up. But this year, the stand may have changed. Initially, the price set by PSG ($272 million) to release him was too high, but now the 14-time European Champions feel other reasons too.
A few days ago, they issued a public statement, “In the face of news stories broadcast and published by various media, which speculate about supposed negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappé and our club, Real Madrid want to state that these stories are absolutely false and said negotiations, with a player who belongs to PSG, have not taken place”.

The player is expected to demand a very high fee, even if he was signed for free. Other factors, like his age and recurrent failures to sign the star, are also keeping the club demotivated, as per reports. But, with the reputation of hiring the best, will Madric look to drop the net once again in the river?
