Kylian Mbappe’s marathon with Paris Saint-Germain has almost reached the end. Known as one of the best players in the current generation, the star is under tremendous demand in the transfer market once he chooses to be free. After announcing his departure from the French champions, the player is expected to land at Real Madrid, the most successful club in the history of Europe. However, Mbappe has now been suggested to join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi instead of joining Real Madrid.
Marcel Desailly has recently opened up about Kylian Mbappe’s near future. In an interview, he said, “I’d advise him to move to another continent. I’m not sure Madrid is the right place for him.” Suggesting that a Saudi Pro League club would be the best place to reward him for what he deserves.
He further stated, “Technically, if you look at the soccer business, I’d go for the 350 million euros (Approximately $377m currently) a year from Saudi Arabia. Come back a year later, the season after the 2026 World Cup,” citing the incredible monetary compensation paid by the Middle East for soccer stars.

On the other hand, multiple clubs are interested in acquiring Mbappe, including Premier League giants Liverpool, which keeps the 2018 World Cup winner at a crucial juncture. Nevertheless, Desailly cites another reason Real Madrid isn’t an ideal place.
Desailly explains why Real Madrid is not tailormade for Kylian Mbappe
Marcel Desailly may have suggested the Saudi Pro League mainly for monetary benefits but passed over Real Madrid for their cluster of stars. The 1998 World Cup winner said, “As we’ve said, there’s Vinicius Jr. on the left, there are talented players like Bellingham. He won’t be the undisputed leader there, which is what he wants,” which will stop Mbappe from receiving the prominence that he needs.

The 25-year-old faced an issue regarding the limelight playing alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar at PSG. Mbappe demands to be the top priority for any club he plays, making it difficult for him at Madrid.
Additionally, a few talks also claimed Carlo Ancelotti’s crew to have trimmed the offer amount. But on the other hand, Mbappe had already rejected an offer of more than a billion last year from the Saudi League club Al Hilal, keeping money a minor parameter for his consideration. But with the illustrious history of Real Madrid in hand and creating his own legacy on the other, it would be interesting to see what Kylian Mbappe chooses in the coming months.
