Kylian Mbappe scored a hattrick as France demolished Gibraltar 14-0 in their UEFA Euro qualifiers match. The PSG star certainly silenced all his critics with a brilliant performance. After the match, the confident forward made sure to take a dig at his opposition. Gibraltar did not manage to create any chances against former World Cup champions.

Mbappe will now hope to have the same goalscoring form with PSG in the second half of the season. The forward would love to turn the criticism of Luis Enrique into praise.

Kylian Mbappe trolls rivals after an unreal performance from the team

Everyone backed France to comfortably win against Gibraltar with the amount of talent in their squad. The predictions were a little off in a sense. It was not only a comfortable win, but a demolition of the opposition. The French team got three goals in the first 16 minutes. But, the real destruction started after Gibraltar player Ethan Santos received a red card after only 18 minutes. It was a one-way domination from there on for the former World Cup champions.

France scored seven goals in the first and another seven in the second half. Unsurprisingly, their star forward Kylian Mbappe scored a hattrick. Ousmane Dembele and Oliver Giroud also scored a brace. The team also had 39 shots with 20 shots on target in the whole game. In the post-match interview, Mbappe was asked the question about the goal scorers in the match, “There were 9 goalscorers right?”. The PSG forward gave a reply with a slight dig at the rivals,“10. Ten with the Gibraltar player.”

This shows the high amount of confidence the whole France team had in themselves to win the match with a big scoreline, despite the feud rumors about them, especially Kylian Mbappe. The PSG star will now shift his focus on doing well in the second half of the season with the club before the Euro tournament.

The French giants have very difficult games coming up after the international break. They will play against Mbappe’s former team AS Monaco in the league. They will also face Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. The games are also coming up thick and fast in the second half of the season. Hence, it is very essential that Kylian Mbappe steps up his goal-scoring ability in the matches. The first thing he and the rest of the team need to ensure is they qualify for the next round of the Champions League from their group.

They will also have the task to maintain their top position Ligue 1 table. Despite the distraction of the Real Madrid rumors, Mbappe has done well in terms of goal-scoring this season. He has taken the responsibility of leading a relatively new attack after the departures of Lionel Messi and Neymar. He has scored  15 goals in 15 games this season for the club in all competitions. However, he will look to improve the record after criticism of his overall game by manager Luis Enrique.
