Fans were left stunned following Real Madrid‘s latest outing. Despite their sublime performances as of late, the side was on the receiving end of a bitter result. Madrid’s latest clash in La Liga saw the team play out a 1-1 draw against the 14th-placed Rayo Vallecano. The draw is a colossal blow for the team as Girona now has the chance to use the opportunity to narrow the gap with the table-toppers. The press conference following the game saw people question Carlo Ancelotti if his players were affected by the Kylian Mbappe rumors, prompting the manager to shut down any nonsense!

Ancelotti was quick to provide his rebuttal, claiming his side always steps into the field with complete focus. “When have we not been focused? We are always focused. Today too, even if things didn’t go that well. It’s difficult to blame this team for anything this season,” he stated.

It is not the first time questions related to Mbappe have swarmed the Madrid head coach. In fact, the press conference before the Rayo Vallecano game saw the media let it rip with their questions, trying to get something out of the Italian tactician.

Ancelotti refuses to provide any comment on Kylian Mbappe rumors

The Real Madrid head coach maintained a stone-faced demeanor during his press conference before the game against Vallecano, refusing to speak on anything related to Kylian Mbappe. “I watch and listen. I understand that this is today’s topic for you, but for us, what is important is tomorrow’s match. We will have to present the match correctly. That is what I think is important right now,” he stated.

Ancelotti remained unfazed through all the questions as he chose to focus on the game at hand rather than entertain queries revolving around the Frenchman’s potential move to Santiago Bernabeu. However, it seems like his team wasn’t able to do the same!

If the draw against their opponent is any indication, Real Madrid cannot afford to let their minds wander in the coming weeks. While the side has a solid lead at the top of the La Liga standings, any more setbacks could derail the team’s momentum. Los Blancos have 62 points to their name and face stiff competition from the likes of Girona and Barcelona, who would love nothing else than to see the table toppers slip from their pedestal.
