The game against Brest in the Coupe de France will certainly linger in the minds of PSG fans. Despite, a comfortable 3-1 victory, the headlines were dominated by Kylian Mbappe. The explosive winger was too hot to handle on the night and Brest resorted to aggressive tackles which put him at injury risk for the upcoming UCL game. Luis Enrique had then said, “The doctors are going to do tests tomorrow, he took a big blow to his ankle.” But as per the Spaniard’s latest update, the tests seemed to have returned good results.

In the press conference following the PSG-Lille game, Enrique shared an update on his star player. He revealed, “Kylian Mbappe is physically doing very well.” Moreover, he also explained the puzzling decision as to why the Frenchman didn’t play a single minute. Enrique said, “Of course, we didn’t want to take any risks because we didn’t need to. If this had been a final, he certainly would have played, but as it wasn’t, it didn’t make any sense.” Then came the most-awaited update for the Real Sociedad game.

Ahead of PSG’s tricky encounter in the Champions League, the manager confirmed Kylian Mbappe’s availability, “He is 100% available for Wednesday evening.” Mbappe’s availability is undoubtedly a big boost to the Parisian side. After all, with 20 goals in 19 games, the Frenchman has once again been the star performer in the Ligue 1. However, PSG hasn’t had the best of success in the UCL, the one trophy that they do not have yet. The current season, however, might be the lethal striker’s last opportunity to win the coveted prize with PSG.

Kylian Mbappe will be a free agent in the summer. However, it seems his future is already decided. There have been numerous reports that the Frenchman has an agreement with Los Blancos. Thus, it could be his last chance to realize one of his dreams, winning the UCL with PSG. The Frenchman has reiterated this desire in many interviews but standing in front of him is Real Sociedad.

Interestingly, this is the first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides. Sociedad have been in good form and stand 7th in La Liga. Also, they seem to have an advantage over PSG. In the last 6 times, PSG faced Spanish opposition, they were eliminated 5 times! Fortunately, PSG still has Kylian Mbappe.

With 43 goals in the UCL, he is already one of the best goalscorers in the competition. Also, guiding PSG to victory over Sociedad could potentially be the best-ever chance for both the Frenchman & PSG to win the UCL. But the big question is, can they do it?
