PSG had an important Ligue Un game as they were playing the in-form Brest team, who had a sublime start to their campaign initially. However, Mbappe’s two goals in the game proved to be the main reason for the Parisians’ jump to the top of the table. However, Mbappe unlocked another achievement, becoming the 11th-highest scorer in the Ligue 1.

Considering his age, Mbappe is running away with records rapidly. He is already the highest scorer for Paris Saint Germain with 225 goals. But the French superstar is now competing in the league’s all-time record books. Currently, with 173 goals in the French top tier, Mbappe is tied with former Nimes and AS Monaco player Hassan Akesbi. However, the highest scorer in the league is the Argentinian Delio Onnis, with 299 goals.

PSG’s match versus Brest was a highly emotional thriller. The match ended up being a partially controversial affair.

To begin with, the 17-year-old Warren Zair Emery scored a brilliant goal in the 16th minute for the league holders. Thirteen minutes after the first strike, Mbappe doubled the lead with the help of Korean international Kang-in Lee’s ball.
