Manchester City skipper Kyle Walker has played with the crème de la crème of English football. Over his career, Walker has shared the pitch with the likes of Luka Modric, Harry Kane, and Heung Min Son, amongst other greats. However, it’s his time at the Etihad that will be etched in golden letters. Yeah, that’s how great Manchester City is! The Englishman in the latest episode of his podcast spoke on the best players he played with in his career, as he named City star Kevin De Bruyne and ex-Cityzen David Silva amongst his top picks and I’m not surprised!
The Manchester City skipper stated on his podcast, ‘You’ll never beat Kyle Walker’, that “[At City] David Silva was incredible. You gave him a bad pass, and he made you look good. He made you look like a better player. Kevin [de Bruyne] will go down as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. He doesn’t mind giving the ball away. He’ll try a 40-yard pass and if he doesn’t succeed, the norm would probably say ‘I’m not doing that again’, but he’ll think ‘I’m just going to do it again’.”

The Belgian has been amongst the best players to play for the Sky Blues under Pep Guardiola. His audacious playmaking skills have helped Manchester City become the attacking force they are today. The Belgian has been the focal point of the team’s attack, with his form being very important to their success. However, it seems like the team is preparing for a future without their star, with the Belgian linked to a move to Saudi Arabia come summer.

There have been a lot of talks about KDB’s future with the Sky Blues. Multiple reports claim the midfielder could be on his way out as he approaches the final year of his contract. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola touched on Kevin De Bruyne’s status with Manchester City adding, “It’s a question for him. I would love that he stays, but I don’t know. I listen, yeah, from some links, but I don’t know if he has an offer. I don’t know if Saudi Arabia wants him, I don’t know. I would love for him to stay here, of course. But everyone is everyone.”
Only time will tell if the Belgian decides to leave Manchester City this summer and pursue a move to the Middle East. For one, I think it would be a shame to see the Belgian playmaker leave Europe. What are your thoughts on the situation? Let us know in the comments below.
