Kevin De Bruyne is a name that has been circulating in the transfer news for a while. The Belgian international has been tipped to leave Manchester City after a nine-year stay. In fact, the rumors have intensified since the FA Cup final defeat to Manchester United. According to reports, the attacking midfielder has held talks with his advisors regarding a potential move to Al Nassr, where he could play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

De Bruyne has been linked to joining the mass exodus to the Saudi Pro League since last summer, mostly to sign with the Knights of the Najd. However, as per the reports compiled by @X99i3 on X, aside from Al Nassr, the City skipper also had discussions with Al Hilal and Al Ittihad. Perhaps we can expect a dogfight among all three formidable Middle Eastern sides. Notably, this year has not been favorable for De Bruyne.

Despite lifting the Premier League with City, the former Chelsea reject missed a majority of the season since mid-August after sustaining a long-term injury. He also endured an unfortunate exit from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid as well as a 1-2 FA Cup final defeat against arch-rivals United with his side. Hence, KDB has been tipped to leave Europe for a new challenge, with the Sky Blues looking for a change as well.

His contract at Eithad keeps him till 2025 and has a $75 million valuation as per Transfermarkt. With just one year left on his contract, the interested Saudi clubs can negotiate his exit for a much lower fee. Either way, it’s certainly quite an interesting development to see another star player jump on the Gulf bandwagon. However, other reports suggest a different story.

Kevin De Bruyne could make a U-turn from Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. for a future MLS switch!

While Saudi Arabian clubs would be desperate to sign Kevin De Bruyne, he may upset them with his other decision. A similar report from @X99i3 on X suggests that the former Wolfsburg man isn’t interested in moving to the Middle East. Instead, he would like to extend his stay at Manchester and then make a move to the Major Soccer League.

Clubs like La Galaxy, LAFC, and Inter Miami can step up in their pursuit of KDB. Meanwhile, the dessert clubs are even ready to offer to lucrative contract to the midfielder. Interestingly, a move to any other European club has never been a story so we can expect De Bruyne to choose from either Saudi Arabia or the United States.
