Neymar Jr’s chapter with PSG finally came to an end this summer transfer window. He made a move to the Saudi giants Al-Hilal and ever since then, he’s been part of several negative rumors on and off the pitch, especially about his attitude. However, an Al-Hilal teammate recently came to his rescue and laid emphasis on the Brazilian soccer icon‘s non-arrogant vibe off social media, in real life.

Many people thought Neymar would become the next Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in terms of major honors with the team and individually. But injuries and problems between him and PSG have derailed his career. However, the ultimate dream of the soccer icon remains the same. Without a doubt, the Al-Hilal forward would love to play and possibly win the next World Cup with Brazil.

Neymar has been quite a hot topic to discuss since making his blockbuster move to Saudi Arabia. The Brazilian struggled to adapt to the Saudi League at the start. However, the Brazilian is now scoring goals and providing assists. Despite the good form on the pitch, the forward is making news for all the wrong seasons. The media has frequently termed Neymar as an arrogant person. However, his Al-Hilal teammate Kalidou Koulibaly has rejected the claims.

The Al Hilal defender in his interview has said, “Neymar, we all see the talk on social media that he is arrogant, but not when I dealt with him at Al Hilal. He is an emotional person who only wants you to give him love and he will give you everything and he is also humble with everyone”. This clearly brings forward a different picture contradicting the one that the fans are familiar with on social media. Also, this is not the first time soccer players have been called arrogant on social media with no sufficient proof.

Neymar’s decision to move to Saudi could swing both ways

Saudi leagues spent big money on top players in the recent transfer window. They are also going to continue spending in the January window. However, soccer fans continue to question the ambitions of players joining the SPL. This is because they pay players an outrageous amount of wages to leave Europe in their prime years. Therefore, it could be assumed that the Saudi league players would want to first secure the heavy money bag without prioritizing the dream of winning big trophies in Europe.

Neymar is one of the biggest examples. Therefore, many have questioned his ambition in recent times. This is also because the Brazilian is only 31. That age is the perfect age for top soccer players to go to a club and compete for a trophy like the UEFA Champions League. But there is also a positive side to these transfers. The fans of players like Karim Benzema, Neymar, and Cristiano Ronaldo are now treating the Asian Champions League as a more serious and attractive competition. This is making soccer a more open market for soccer players and fans to explore.
