A million-dollar legal setback for CR7

Cristiano Ronaldo had initiated a legal action against his former club, Juventus, asserting that they owed him $21.2 million in unpaid wages. However, it now seems that recovering this money from Juventus may prove challenging. According to reports, Juventus has presented new evidence that states all the outstanding wages owed to Juventus players were settled through personal agreements.

The Old Lady insists Ronaldo did not sign such an agreement, resulting in the non-payment of his remaining wages. Without both his and the club’s signatures on the agreement, there is no official documentation for the soccer veteran to claim his outstanding funds. Juventus has also pointed out that when the Portuguese soccer legend transferred to Manchester United in 2021, he signed a document affirming that he had no unresolved financial matters with the club.
