Delighted fans reacted to their sensational performance at Stamford Bridge after underperforming for several weeks. Although they rank tenth in the English Premier League, their chances in the Champions League would probably determine their future playing in the competition.

Fans react to Chelsea’s brilliant win against Borussia Dortmund

The fans showcased their excitement as a fan commented on how they needed this victory. The fan commented, “What a performance! What a win! This is all we ask for, just fight for that shirt! Havertz, Chilwell and James specially were absolutely sensational tonight.” Another fan stated how the club needed this performance, and it was a pleasure to watch them play. The fan commented, “Massive performance from the boys, f***ing get in!”

However, the game saw a controversial penalty awarded to Chelsea, and some fans pointed out the issue. The fan stated, “Chelsea are an embarrassment to football. Putting 10 guys in the back and getting horrible referee calls. What a joke of a club that can’t win the game fairly.” After Kai Havertz missed the penalty in the first attempt, the referee ordered the penalty to be retaken again because of encroachment. Therefore, fans could not believe the decision.

After a troubled few weeks, Potter hopes to carry this form into the league. They are one of the best clubs in the world, yet their form was unsatisfactory in recent games. Hence, Chelsea needed a confidence boost, and they sure got some.

Looking at their last nine games, Chelsea managed just two victories and slipped down the table. Moreover, a home loss to Southampton in those run of games increased the pressure on the former Brighton manager. But, the board remains committed to the Potter project. They spend over $600 million on many signings in the transfer window. They brought in quality players like Enzo Fernandez, Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk, and many more.
