Dani Alves isn’t enduring a good time in his life. The defender is currently in jail after sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman. The 39-year-old was arrested by Barcelona police back in January after the player was found guilty.

The player reportedly attacked a woman outside the nightclub where the incident took place. Since then he is living his days at Barcelona’s Brians 2 Prison. Moreover, this wasn’t the end of all misery, as her beloved partner, Joana Sanz, parted ways with the soccer player. The decision was final, with Alves reportedly confessing his wrongdoings to the authorities before denying he knew about the incident.

Joana Sanz reveals the ‘Love of her life’

It was indeed a difficult moment for both Alves and Joana, as the couple is separated right now. The model visited his partner in jail and expressed her desire to leave the 39-year-old. Alves was devastated and nervous about the divorce as the latter went on a hunger strike.

Yet Joana has been reluctant, as she lost a pillar of her life. She even posted many cryptic messages on her social media regarding separation. Furthermore, she has also removed all the pictures with Alves from her socials.

In fact, she recently shared another message on her Instagram story, thus revealing the love of her life. The model posted a video of her dog with the caption, “amor de mi vida” which means “love of my life.”

Sanz recently lost one of her dogs named ‘Coco’ due to a long illness. Furthermore, she also lost her mother before Alves went to jail. Currently, she is living with her dogs while Alves continues serving jail time.

Dani Alves sends a letter to her partner

While it was a difficult situation for Alves, who couldn’t bear the abandonment of her partner, the former Barcelona man has sent a letter to Joana. In the letter, he reportedly said that he understood his wife’s decision to leave him.

The defender also promised to fight until the end to prove his innocence. In the letter, the player also had best wishes for her partner as well as their children, Dani Filho and Victoria. The letter was published by the Antena 3 lunchtime show ‘Y ahora Sonsoles’ a show run by presenter Sonsoles Onega.

The show described Alves’ letter as a farewell to her partner and also a response to the letter Joana posted on her Instagram. Nevertheless, for now, the player is living his days in prison and will continue until further legal proceedings.
