The USMNT striker Christian Pulisic’s stealthy goals are a treat to watch. But his goal celebrations have a different fan base. Pulisic had once notably captivated the crowd by performing a worm dance move on the pitch after scoring for the US. His signature ‘eye of the tiger’ celebrations remain the most iconic. He even has a tiger eye tattoo on his arm. However, renowned TV host Jimmy Fallon does not want to see Pulisic’s signature celebration if he scores against Manchester City in the upcoming US tour. Fallon insisted the US star pull off a cheeky move from a classic Western comedy.

During his recent appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Christian Pulisic joked he needed to come up with a different celebration in New York if he scores against City at the Yankee Stadium on Saturday. After a playful initial reluctance, Fallon helped Pulisic and suggested a new celebration. “If you score a goal Saturday, can you do a celebration just as a nod to our fans?” said Fallon.

Pulisic agreed immediately, “Could you do the Three Amigos salute?” Fallon asked the USMNT star. The latter asked the show host to demonstrate the same to him.

Jimmy Fallon stood up and performed the Three Amigos Salute. With his hands crossed over his shoulders, he then rested them on his hips, turned his face to the left, and cheekily thrust his hip forward, performing the salute. The Three Amigos salute is a nod to the 1986 John Landis film of the same name. In the comical Western, actors Steven Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short perform the salute.

Before vowing to do the Three Amigos salute, Pulisic spoke about his tiger eye tattoo that helped him come up with the iconic ‘eye of the tiger’ celebration.

Jimmy Fallon showed Christian Pulisic a picture of his celebration and asked him if he got the tattoo for the sake of this celebration. Pulisic surprisingly said he got the tattoo randomly. He randomly chose the tiger eye and could have gone for a different animal. The AC Milan player explained that the tattoo artist suggested he close his eyes while sketching the tattoo on his arm.

The artist also envisioned Pulisic performing the ‘eye of the tiger’ move and perfectly inked the tattoo to cover his eyes if he brought his arm up close.

Whatever celebration he performs, it is paramount that Pulisic scores before his home crowd in the upcoming friendlies. It would indeed be a moment of redemption for him, considering he and the USMNT were humbled out of the Copa America in the group stage.

The 25-year-old’s side AC Milan awaits friendlies against Europe’s finest- Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona in the US, before they return to Italy to kick-start the Serie A campaign.
