Pep Guardiola hasn’t had the best of times recently. The Manchester City boss isn’t seeing results go his way as the team has been winless in their last 4 league matches. Moreover, the Spaniard was also involved in a war of words with pundits Carragher and Neville for their comments on the Manchester City squad. Interestingly, Guardiola didn’t mention Roy Keane who also lashed out at Guardiola’s side. It seems Carragher knows why as the former Liverpool added that the City boss might be scared of the former Manchester United midfielder.

Pep Guardiola had recently talked about the possibility of being the first side to win four consecutive Premier League titles. However, injuries and recent form make this a hard achievement. Also, Pep might need to keep his focus away from away from the pundit’s comments for a start.

Jamie Carragher revealed his thoughts in a recent interview. He said, “I noticed he must be terrified of him (Roy Keane) I mean he didn’t mention Roy did he, no.” However, Keane did manage to give an insightful reply to the former Liverpool man. Keane said, “he’s using the word in this press about being complacent I don’t think I said that. I think they’re off it, I think they’re obviously given bad goals away and they’re a lot easier to play against.” It was indeed Neville’s complacency comment that earned the wrath of Guardiola.

Neville along with Micah Richards had stated that complacency had crept in City’s squad following their 3-3 draw against Tottenham. This did not amuse Pep and he lashed out at Neville and Carragher who did not talk of complacency. Carragher must have felt hard done by Pep’s comments but he did respond in style via social media.

Carragher also mentioned City’s pending charges and further clarified that he was just praising the reigning Premier League champions. It seems Carragher is still aware of the class of Guardiola’s side and is avoiding making any reactionary claims.
