Will things ever change for you, Tottenham Hotspur fans? Despite years of seemingly giving their best, the team always seems to find itself stuck between a rock and a hard place. This season has been no exception, as Ange Postecoglou has become a target for fans due to poor results, with increasing calls for his dismissal. However, Jamie Carragher has surprisingly come forward in support of the Spurs manager, stating that he does “enjoy” watching Postecoglou’s Tottenham more than any of their previous managers.
It was just last summer that he joined the North Londoners, and now dark clouds are surrounding his future at the club due to the lack of positive results. However, Carragher is still in favor of the Australian tactician and backs him for the job. “I love Ange Postecoglou since he’s come into the Premier League the last 18 months in terms of the football they play. It’s exciting. They are the most entertaining team I think in the last 18 months who I’ve seen,” said the Liverpool icon on Sky Sports.
Carragher believes that Postecoglou has managed to bring Tottenham back in the way many supporters wanted despite the poor results. However, it still leaves one wondering if Spurs will actually win anything. “Now, is that a little bit unfair for me to say that because do Tottenham ever win anything? No, that’s the point. Is this a team set up to win big things? If certain things don’t change eventually, he’ll be out of the job.”

The 46-year-old further notched up a level of praise for Postecoglou, backing him to remain at Tottenham and try turning things around. “I don’t want him to be, because I enjoy watching them play a lot more than I’ve watched previous managers of Tottenham play,” commented the former English midfielder for a team who had been managed by the likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, and Antonio Conte.
Part of the frustration that has been growing against the former Celtic boss has been over the recent 7 goal-thriller that Tottenham lost against Chelsea. An early 2-0 lead within the first half saw a complete turnaround, with the game ending 3-4. This was something that Carragher underlined and concluded by saying, “Since this Chelsea game, last season to where they are right now, it has to be better than that for Spurs.”

Of course, it has to be better for the Spurs, but how exactly will things come back from the north from them?
Can Ange Postecoglou turn things around for Tottenham Hotspur?
Where to even begin? Every time, Tottenham start their new season with high hopes and new aspirations but despite doing the most, they come back to square one. Talking about the Ange Postecoglou era, in his first season, the Spurs finished 5th place with a tally of 66 behind Aston Villa, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City. Considering it was his debut season, the 59-year-old does get some slack cut.

However, this season, things have taken a downturn as they currently sit in 11th place with just 20 points. Since their impressive 4-0 win over Manchester City, their form has dipped, with 2 draws and 2 losses. Beyond domestic struggles, their European campaign has been moderately acceptable, as they currently hold 9th place with 10 points in the 36-team table.
The only solution that Ange Postecoglou has with him right now is to do whatever’s necessary and try to bring Tottenham back on track. Otherwise, it would be another firing from Daniel Levy and Co.
