Crooks blamed Cristiano Ronaldo for terrible performances

Writing for BBC Sport, Garth Crooks pointed out that Manchester United’s performance has improved miraculously. The point of difference is Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club. Ronaldo wasn’t performing well, and it was apparent in the score sheet. With Ronaldo not playing to that level, Manchester United’s offense became their liability.

Crooks wrote, “I think it is very telling that United’s results have continually improved since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and so has Rashford’s presence in the team.” It is not some sort of theoretical influence. On stats, it is clear that Marcus Rashford wasn’t performing as well as he is performing since Ronaldo left.
