Nothing is forever, as far as Pep Guardiola is concerned. The treble-winning coach was straightforward in his analysis of Manchester City’s success. He said, “We have won a lot and in the future, we and you [the fans] have to understand in your mind that this is an exception.” It’s not normal to win the treble, not normal to win five Premier Leagues in six years and they have to continue to enjoy it.”
However, he also cautioned fans about the inevitable bad moments that will come in this season or the future. And as far as Guardiola is concerned, he can see the fans supporting the club in the tough phases due to their history. He explained that the fans have seen the team competing in the mid-table spots which will make them more understanding of blips in the form.
Yet, the current crop of players does not seem like the ones to slip up. Hence, Guardiola won’t face any issues regarding his players. However, it does seem like he wants more from the fans.

Guardiola’s demand to the Cityzens
The 52-year-old recently admitted that he wants more noise from the supporters. This was in the aftermath of the 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Etihad. This is not the first time he has requested more fan support. Perhaps, Pep believes that more energy from the crowd will motivate his side to play better.
He also encouraged the fans to come to watch the clash against Tottenham and added that it would be fun. Considering their recent results against Chelsea and Liverpool, it seems the Spaniard wants the fans to be at their A-game.
