However, it isn’t over yet. That is what the club’s star striker insisted after the game when celebrations were at their peak. Wrexham star striker calls for focus
It was the 96th minute of the sensational game between Wrexham and Notts Couty at Racecourse Stadium. The Red Dragons were leading 3-2. The referee awarded a penalty to Notts County. Their last chance to salvage a draw. But Ben Foster had other ideas. He made a massive save, and the referee blew the final whistle, erupting the stadium into celebrations.
Wrexham took three points lead with a game in hand over County. The players were celebrating. While talking to his YouTube channel, the penalty hero, Foster, said, “What a crowd! Every week it’s like this.” Wrexham 43-goal striker Paul Mullin immediately reminded him it’s not over yet. Mullin responded, “It’s not f**king done yet, though.”

Yeah, it’s not done yet. Wrexham still has four games to play. Red Dragons lost to lowly FC Halifax Town before playing Notts County, putting pressure on them. The team dealt with that pressure significantly and will hope to take the momentum into the business end of the season.
The Red Dragons will play Barnet, Yeovil Town, Boreham Wood, and Torquay in the remaining games. The games against Barnet and Boreham Wood will be tricky as they are in the top six and are striving for promotion playoff places themselves. Wrexham needs seven points from the remaining four games to ensure the title and automatic promotion.

The Vanarama National League has two promotion spots available. The league winners get automatically promoted to the Football League Two at the end of the season. To get the remaining promotion spot, one must play in the playoffs. But how do the playoffs work?
Clubs ranked second to seventh play in the playoffs, which happens in three stages: quarter-final, semifinal, and final. The clubs finishing second and third in the league go directly into the semifinals. The remaining four clubs play in the quarter-final, and the winners move into the semifinal. Finally, one of the six clubs gets the second promotion spot by winning the final.
