The American-born forward may have represented England in his youth days, but now he is also eligible to play for the USMNT.

Balogun announced his decision by sharing a brilliant video on Instagram where his name can be seen on the USWNT shirt. Below the clip, he wrote, “LET’S MAKE HISTORY!” This has enticed USMNT fans to react to his move, who have gone into a frenzy with his decision. One fan wrote, “It’s Called Soccer.” Another wrote, “USA>England.”

It seems the US fans are happy with his decision, as he has already won the hearts of many. One wrote, “AMERICA LOVES BALO,” while another wrote, “MY STARBOY.” One fan dragged England into the process, saying, “That Balogun World Cup winner against England is gonna hit different.”

Not only fans, but many USWNT stars also welcomed their new teammate.
