Lionel Messi joined the MLS fresh after winning the World Cup and Ligue 1. Despite having offers from other European clubs, the seven-time Ballon d’Or joined Inter Miami, and has already picked up 5 goals and an assist in three cup games; a testament to the pedigree that he is bringing for the Miami club.

As expected, the Barcelona legend has set the league on fire with his presence having both on-field and off-field implications. Naturally, pundits, critics, and ex-players are simply mesmerized by the Argentine, and are not shying in using superlatives to express his impact.

Earlier today, the ESPN FC panel invited USMNT legend Herculez Gomez to break down Lionel Messi’s performances so far. The three-time MLS Cup Champion when quipped about Leo’s skills could only reply by terming it as unreal.

“It seems like it’s been scripted,” said Gomez. “It’s a Hollywood movie. Everybody seems to be enjoying themselves. This is what Messi came for!” opined the Gold Cup winner in his analysis.
