Wrexham goalkeeper Kai James Calderbank-Park has revealed the soft side of Reynolds and McElhenney. In a recent podcast with Fox Football, he said, “They’re literally like one of the players. It’s actually quite mad. A lot of people don’t realize and a lot of clubs don’t do it, but they’re literally like one of the boys. It’s weird. It doesn’t seem real.”

The keeper was surprised to see such popular figures being humble. “We were walking around the pitch with them, hugging them, and getting selfies with them. It’s quite mad, to be fair. You’re just chilling and relaxing and being best mates with these Hollywood superstars which is absolutely outrageous. But they’re just like one of us.”

The 22-year-old reckoned that rather than being owners, they were just like the Wrexham players. Calderbank-Park also talked about the wild celebrations following the promotion. He wasn’t part of the squad that faced Boreham Wood. However, the keeper did join the celebrations.
