However, Haaland could logically be Plan B if Los Blancos fail to sign Kylian Mbappe, but another report claims that the priority is to sign both. Amid the chaos, the question was asked by Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta. 

While speaking to Corriere dello Sport, Pimenta said, “It is a question for them [Real Madrid], not me”. In a shocking declaration, Haaland’s representative has hit the ball back in Los Blancos’ court, suggesting that it’s the club’s decision if they wish to sign the 23-year-old star. Clearly, the striker’s camp is inviting the rumors with open arms, which also suggests Haaland’s openness to moving to the Spanish capital. 

Pimenta’s words are set to fuel the Madrid links even more. Notably, Haaland has a release clause of a whopping $219 million. While it is a hefty amount, one shouldn’t take Real Madrid lightly when it comes to making big acquisitions because of their heavy financial muscle.
