Lionel Messi has been an incredible signing for Inter Miami. The Florida-based club’s dynamism has changed since Messi’s arrival. But one needs to accept that he too is a human despite his unworldly feats. Gaston Edul, the popular journalist working with Tyc Sports, Argentina sheds more light into why benching him was the responsible call.

Gaston Edul comments on Messi’s injury as he said, “If Messi’s entourage, the medical team of Argentina National Team, and the Inter Miami staff say that he’s suffering from a scar from an old injury he had, then it is irresponsible for someone to say something other than that.

Edul further added, “His lack of participation is more for prevention, than for injury because it could get worse if he does not feel ready to participate.” A prolonged injury could have affected Messi’s future as a soccer player.
