Dani Alves and his family are going through the most difficult time of their lives. The player is living his days at Barcelona’s Brians 2 Prison after being found guilty of sexual assault. The 39-year-old was arrested on January 20th following his crimes against a 23-year-old woman.

The news shocked the entire soccer world, as well as his family. It even led him to lose both his home and his wife, Joana Sanz, as she announced a divorce following his arrest. The model ended their relationship after they tied the knot back in 2017. Both were deeply affected by the separation that led Alves to go on a hunger strike. The player was reportedly devastated and nervous about the divorce.

Joana Sanz’s heartbreaking message

It hasn’t been a great few months for Joana, who has been enduring the most difficult time of her life. Aside from losing Alves to prison, the model also lost her mother just days before Alves’s arrest. The pain got even more after she also lost her beloved pet named Coco.

After the whole saga, Sanz posted a cryptic letter that suggested she does not want to continue her relationship with Alves. However, the latter has once again posted a heartbreaking message on her Instagram, along with a video.

“The feeling that you’re drowning, that it hurts so much that you don’t want that internal pain anymore, that you need to externalize it as a wound in order to heal it… But you can’t. All you can do is mourn it, accept it, and get over it,” wrote Sanz.

The caption is quite long, as in the video she is even seen crying quite awfully. “Cry, get angry, dance, laugh… Do what you feel at the moment. They will talk about how you did it right or wrong, that you don’t care, that the opinion of what is foreign to those who have lived every moment with you does not affect you.”

The message was quite motivational, as she was grateful for everyone who was part of her life in such a difficult situation. “Love yourself, because you are the only person you will be with for the rest of your life.” she wrote.
