Alongside a couple of photos of the two in Barcelona shirts, he wrote, “A race together. It has been a huge pleasure. Thanks for everything”. The two played together in Barcelona for nearly 14 years and had the opportunity to experience some of their most remarkable successes with the club.

This success included eight La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions League. It is clear that his words came from the heart. But it is interesting that it comes months after Busquets didn’t hold back from trolling Pique using his ex-partner Shakira’s song.

Following the split between Gerard Pique and Shakira in June, there has been quite a bit of drama. Among all this drama, Busquets decided to troll Pique while using his former partner’s song. It all started in January when Pique began hyping ‘Enigma 69’, a player in his Kings League.

He played with a mask on while concealing his true identity. Even though Pique refused to divulge the individual’s identity, he did confirm the person to be part of a first-division soccer team. However, Enigma 69’s debut received criticism due to subpar performance, which prompted Busquets to tease Pique via his Instagram story.

He wrote, “When Piqué lies to you about enigma 69,” along with playing one of Shakira’s songs in the background – ‘Te Felicito’.
