Last summer, PSG lost the services of Lionel Messi and Neymar. This summer, they will be without Kylian Mbappe, who already has one foot inside Real Madrid. With 35 goals in 36 games, the Frenchman has been the key reason for PSG’s impressive season till now. However, his departure is not just a blow to the Parisian side but to Ligue 1 as a whole, per a rival.

Montpellier winger Arnaud Nordin is hesitant to see his countryman leave the division. He said in an interview with le10sport, “It has already hurt us to lose Neymar, Messi or even, a few years ago, Zlatan.” He added, “Of course. In L1, we want to have the best.” But he reluctantly agrees with Mbappe’s pursuit of his dream. Nordin revealed, “Afterwards if it was his dream to be able to play… wherever he wanted, I would be happy for him, because he deserves it. He has already left his mark on French football and our championship.”

Also, after his reinstatement to the team, the winger ran into issues with new coach Luis Enrique, who publicly declared that he was ‘not happy’ with the star attacker. Amidst all of this, Mbappe kept his head down and kept producing the results.
