The Saudi Pro League is shaping up to have an interesting battle this season. With Al Hilal in one of their impressive five-game winning streaks, Al Nassr has a challenge on their hands. They need to keep up the pace to catch the leaders on top. For the run-in, they must have key players performing week-in and week-out, including Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese skipper scored against Poland to take his tally to 906 career goals. Every time you hear it, it sounds even ridiculous. Now will he play in the next match?
Notably, Al Nassr faces Al Shabab in the next contest in the Saudi Pro League. Significantly, Ronaldo remains in fine form, scoring for the Knights of Najd in their game against Al-Orobah. With 5 goals in the campaign, he would be expected to lead the line as he returns to Riyadh after the international break. Ronaldo’s name in the line-up would send shivers down the opposition’s spine. And guess what, he had mixed days in the last two weeks with Portugal.
In the game against Poland, Ronaldo scored in a 3-1 victory for Portugal. The match was fast-paced, with Ronaldo scoring a classic Ronaldo-style goal by tapping in the rebound at the perfect moment and position. However, he had a subpar day at the office for the game against Scotland with the match ending 0-0. With Scotland losing all their UEFA Nations League games, this draw gives them hope for the coming matches.

Have an interesting take?
Those are ridiculous numbers. With the player now 39, his fitness regimes remain at the peak and we could probably see him playing with Cristiano Jr. (Shades of LeBron and Bronny). It’s incredible to see the player’s commitment to even push himself further after achieving most things he could. Significantly, he could score more goals in his career until his career ends. The league remains perfect for the Portuguese to prolong his career.
It improves at every step, but the quality is nowhere near the level of European clubs. Thus, it helps him prolong his career with the wear and tear risk, obviously decreasing with a slow-paced tempo. Don’t underestimate him, though. At this level, he is starting for Portugal in the 2026 World Cup.
