Now, after convincing Messi to play for his team in Miami, the CEO of Inter Miami Jorge Mas revealed a promise of Messi’s farewell with Barcelona.
Mas said, “I gave Messi my word that I will do everything possible in the coming years so that he has the opportunity to say goodbye to his fans in Barcelona.”

Jorge Mas promised Messi so that his fans could also have a final send-off for their favorite hero. The departure in 2021 came amid much chaos with all kinds of rumors of continuing. After some intense conversations with Messi’s father, Joan Laporta, the FC Barcelona’s president, had to deny a contract renewal.

Even though the complete stadium is said to be finished by 2026, it is expected to host soccer matches by the end of November 2024.
