Saudi Pro League leaders Al-Hilal showed no mercy to their opposition Al-Nassr in their latest encounter. The side thrashed Cristiano Ronaldo’s men 3-0, despite going down to ten men in the closing minutes of the game. Striker Aleksandar Mitrovic was the star of the show as he bagged a brace to guide his side past the finish line.

Al-Hilal took to their social media to post a video of Neymar reacting to Mitrovic’s second goal from the night. The Brazilian could be seen enjoying the two goals from the Serbian striker as he cheered his team while recovering from his injury.

Al-Hilal, following their win over Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, consolidating their spot on the top of the table. The side now has 41 points to their name in 15 games and has a seven-point advantage over Al-Nassr, who was placed second with 34 points.

Aleksandar Mitrovic continues to close in on Cristiano Ronaldo

While Al Nassr skipper Cristiano Ronaldo is leading the charge for the Saudi Pro League’s Golden Boot, it seems like the player has some close competition. The Portuguese talisman is currently leading the race for the Golden Boot with fifteen goals to his name. However, his failure to score in the last game provided Aleksandar Mitrovic with an opportunity to close the gap.

The Serbian striker scored a brace in the game against Al-Nassr, taking his number to thirteen. The Al-Hilal star is now just two goals behind the Portuguese and could pose an enormous threat to Cristiano in the race for the Golden Boot.
