The former Madrid number seven was also instrumental in getting Brazilian defender Alex Telles from Manchester United earlier this year.

Ronaldo’s role in the Saudi transfer fest is pretty well-known in the soccer world. And his rift with Ten Hag could be deemed the starting point for the trend. However, Saudi Arabia’s willingness to offer a lot of money will benefit the clubs in Europe, especially for players in the later stages.

Casemiro’s injury woes continue

The former Madrid number 14 had a great start to his first season, with some important goals scored by the defensive midfielder. The Brazilian again suffered a hamstring injury recently against Newcastle United, which will keep him away until Christmas, as told by Ten Hag.

The club, however, will look to let go of the player to bring in funds for the next transfers. With the player already 32 and prone to injuries, experts think he is already on the decline.
