Pep has a playing philosophy of passing the ball and wants his players to be composed in all situations. Messi fits the bill perfectly and could be one of the best players on the team. Jorge pointed out how Argentinian coach Lionel Scaloni tailor-made the squad according to his needs.

D’Alessandro continued, “Scaloni put three players by his side to do all his work: Mac Allister, De Paul, and Enzo Fernández. That caused Messi to dazzle. I had never seen Messi play this football in the Argentine National Team as he did in Qatar.” It offers food for thought.
