European club soccer resumed after the World Cup break. Premier League, the most followed soccer league, is already in its second game week after the break, and we are in for great soccer action with a host of matches on our way. However, Manchester United and its star forward were subject to the news after the manager dropped him from the starting eleven for a disciplinary issue.
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag dropped Marcus Rashford to the bench for a game against the Wolves. It was a crucial game in the context of the top-four finish for the club, and the manager took a drastic step.

It is not the first time Ten Hag has punished a player for disciplinary reasons. Cristiano Ronaldo faced a similar fate when he was dropped from the squad for refusing to come on as a substitute. Rashford has apologized for the event after scoring a winner in the game as a substitute. Fans have slammed the player for the behavior and want all players to follow strict guidelines set by the manager.

The fans have praised the manager for trying to bring discipline into the squad. Ten Hag is here to change everything and has adopted specific guidelines that players must follow. He is not afraid of punishing the player despite his stature.
United fans are happy with the manager’s approach as they see the results with the players’ performance improving. They have warned the players to take the guidelines seriously and not repeat the mistakes, slamming Rashford’s excuses.
Rashfords excuse for sleeping it in, he thinks it can happen but personally I think that’s a pathetic excuse for a top level sportsman.

Manchester United is eyeing a top-four finish
United beat Wolves last night with a solitary goal from Marcus Rashford taking them to the fourth spot on the table. They are two points behind the third-placed Newcastle United with a game in hand and four points behind city rivals Manchester City, who dropped points to Everton at home.

Rashford has hit a goal-scoring form with an entire unit playing as a team under Ten Hag. United is alive in all competitions and has some difficult fixtures this month with the Manchester derby at home followed by a visit to Arsenal.
After the World Cup break, all top clubs will play a good number of matches in all competitions, and Ten Hag will hope for a complete squad coming good. United manager will want his players to be disciplined as a top-four finish is their ultimate aim for this season.
