The Norwegian striker has now reflected on breaking this major record in the Premier League while admitting to ‘not thinking’ about it too much.

It looks like Erling Haaland is set to be in good company with Premier League legends. It will be great for Haaland to keep crushing records and he’ll be breaking this one for sure as the striker has just played 47 games in the Premier League. But, his ultimate target in his soccer career will be to win the holy grail that is the Ballon d’Or.

Many soccer experts and fans believed that Erling Haaland deserved to win the Ballon d’Or this year. This is because of his goals and treble-winning season. But, in the end, World Cup winner Lionel Messi won the award. Haaland has continued his goal exploits this season. He has scored 17 goals and provided 4 assists in 18 games this season in all the competitions. This certainly is a great start to his ambition for the Ballon d’Or.
