While Real Madrid has been very keen on securing a deal with Mbappe, his entourage has made it clear that the player will not rush to decide on his future. This is a big setback for Los Blancos as the team hoped to secure his signatures before June to avoid any competition with the player set to become a free agent come summer.

Fayza Lamari is always known for driving a hard bargain. The woman has been on top of every deal when it comes to her son helping him land some of the best deals in soccer history. However, it seems like she loves to maintain her edge even when it comes to her son. Lamari, in an interview with LeParisian, talked about her conversation with her son before the start of the season. “I told him: below 30%, I don’t do it! I’m withdrawing and I’m doing like everyone else: I’m going on vacation to the Maldives, but I’m not working for you!”

Lamari, during the interview, also talked about her son’s failed move to Real Madrid. While many would have expected the side to regret their decision, Mbappe’s mother ensured the player was happy with the decision. The recent months have once again seen Mbappe linked to the Spanish side. However, there is nothing concrete at the moment, with the player taking time to decide his future.

Real Madrid receives massive blow from Mbappe’s camp

Los Blancos have been relentless in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe. The Spanish giant has been a long-time admirer of the Frenchman but has failed to land him at every step. The side was confident of signing him in 2022 as well, but was snubbed by the player at the last minute as he renewed his deal with PSG.

However, things have taken a turn as the 2018 World Cup winner is set to become a free agent this summer. Despite PSG’s numerous attempts, Mbappe has refused to renew his contract with the team and will become a free agent come June. While many expected this as a perfect chance for Real Madrid, Mbappe’s camp has poured cold water on those plans.

The player’s entourage issued a statement this year, “There’s no agreement on Kylian future. There have been no discussions about his future. No type of influence could dictate the timing of Kylian’s discussions, reflections or decisions.”
