Fun times are rolling in Wrexham right now. They have finally received a promotion to EFL League Two after 15 years. The club owners, Ryan Reynolds, and Rob McElhenney, are icons for the entire city and are worshipped for their calming leadership. Apart from building the soccer club, one thing they do best is keeping their relationship with their players transparent. They are open and approachable to the players. That is a rare sight in a modern-day soccer club. In a similar vein, after the promotion, the celebrity owners are planning a trip for the players.

Wrexham’s star forward, Paul Mullin, revealed the trips planned by Rob and Ryan for the entire squad after their victory. The destination; Las Vegas! Despite the excitement, Mullin jokingly explained how they were ‘forced’ to go on the trip.

Mullin helped the club to get promoted after scoring 38 goals in the season. After all the success in recent times, Rob and Ryan want to take the players out to Las Vegas. According to talkSPORT, Mullin said, “I don’t know if I can say it yet but we’re off to Vegas,” he said. “It should be unbelievable, that’s literally what they [the owners] were texting me about two minutes ago.”

While off-season is a time for players to spend with their families, Mullin explained what his partner thought about the idea. He continued, “I don’t think she’s too happy about it but if the owners tell you you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go. I don’t really want to go either, I’m devastated.” It’s all fun and games as Mullin enjoys the leadership showcased by the Hollywood duo.

The gestures of the Wrexham owner are heartwarming. Never has been a club where the owners have kept the conversations transparent. They treat players as humans, and it is refreshing. Hopefully, the fun times roll at Wrexham AFC.
