Megan Rapinoe is truly an inspiration for women’s soccer. Not only is she a talented soccer player, but she is an inspiration to thousands. The striker’s presence has been paramount in the USWNT, thus leading to emphatic triumphs several times.

Besides her national career, she has enjoyed a stellar career on the domestic front. Megan has won many individual accolades, including the Ballon d’Or and the Best FIFA Women’s Award.

Off the pitch, she is known for her fierce fighting spirit, and for a noble cause as well. However, many might not be aware of her fun side.

Besides developing chemistry on the soccer field, players often get along off the pitch as well. Teammates develop a unified bond with their mates and banter with each other to signify their friendship.

Recently, OL Reign posted a picture on their Instagram where Jess Fishlock with a humorous reaction against Angel City’s player.

Hence, Megan, eying an opportunity, hysterically poked at her teammate Jess Fishlock by sharing her post on her Instagram story. The caption said, “If ‘I’m an A**hole Deal With it’ was a person.”

Jess also reposted the story, thus reacting to her story. Both soccer players shared a few laughs together on their social media handles. Both Rapinoe and Fishlock have a great relationship off the pitch as well. Together, they led the OL Reign to an emphatic 2022 NWSL win.

All eyes on NWSL’s return

With the new NWSL season kicking off, Megan and Co. will be looking ahead to the new season. The Bolds are already preparing for the new season with several new additions to the squad.

The club is looking to strengthen its coaching staff, with rumors circulating that PacNW’s Kate Norton could get a role as an assistant coach.

Moreover, they are set to bolster the squad, thus picking Shae Holmes from the University of Washington and midfielder Natalie Viggiano from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the 2023 NWSL draft.

They have also finalized a trade for Washington Spirit defender Emily Sonnett. The club also announced the re-signing of co-skipper Megan as well. For now, they will be looking to get several changes in the squad ahead of the new season. All eyes will be on Rapinoe as fans expect a lot from the World Cup winner.
