Neymar started his career with Santos FC before moving to Barcelona on a $65 million deal. The forward then had a massive success playing along with Lionel Messi and Luiz Suarez. Known for his speed and dribbling skills, Neymar made it big in world soccer and owes it to his childhood coach Betinho. Despite having a slow season, Neymar gladly wrote an emotional message for him.
Neymar in his recent Instagram story wrote, “If it hadn’t been for this guy, I certainly wouldn’t have become what I am today. He discovered me running in the stands, picked me up to go training and play, and was also my first coach. Thank you Betinho”
Neymar was a prodigy spotted by Betinho when he was six years old. The young veteran saw him running up and down the stands while his father was paying and immediately spotted his talent and took him to play futsal. Since then, there has been no turning back as Neymar rose up and joined Santos FC. Neymar, in his status, clearly acknowledged that he would not have made it big without Betinho.
The coach stood with him till he reached his first major destination, Santos Academy, at 11. Neymar would, however, like to use his experience to help Al Hilal achieve the required success in the current season.

Neymar’s recent form and national success
Neymar is yet to kick-start his goal-scoring for Al Hilal. The player has already played four matches, including one AFC Champions League game. Even though he has assisted a couple of goals, Neymar missed a penalty yesterday against Al Shabab in the 37th minute. The Brazilian, however, had a great time with the National squad, becoming Brazil’s all-time top scorer, beating the King Pele’s record. In the previous international break, the fanbase witnessed him scoring his 79th record goal for his country!
The former Barcelona star will now try to help his team win against Nassaji Mazandaran in their second match of the AFC Champions League at Tehran. Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus is on the edge and would like to see Neymar back to scoring terms. The pressure is high on the Riyadh-based team, as the club wants to regain its Asian dominance. And how the Brazilian icon will perform is yet to be seen.
