Spanish giants, Real Madrid, were in the market for a backup striker after Mariano Diaz left. They were counting on Karim Benzema to carry the responsibility next season. However, it wasn’t to be. A massive offer from Saudi Arabia changed all the dynamics. Benzema joined Al Ittihad on a three-year deal. And Los Blancos had to change their plans.

It is not going to be an easy task to replace the Frenchman. But the club feels Spurs superstar Harry Kane comes closest to Benzema. However, it will be an uphill task with Manchester United also targeting the striker. Kane is 48 goals away from an all-time Premier League goalscoring record of Alan Shearer. So staying in the Premier League makes sense. And that’s what Sergio Aguero thinks.

If he stays in England, and by the numbers he has achieved year after year, it is possible that he will achieve it. He is a great player with an enormous ability to score,” Aguero said.

Another transfer saga that garnered a massive attraction was that of Lionel Messi. However, it ended early as the Argentine didn’t wish to drag it till the last day, like in 2021. Despite an enormous offer from Saudi Arabia, he chose MLS side Inter Miami as his destination.
