The life graph goes up and down, and Wrexham is no exception. It had been quite a weekend for Ryan Reynolds’ side. Over the weekend, they clinched an important victory against their archrivals, Notts County. The match was quite enthralling as they played a five-goal thriller.

The Welsh side made an emphatic comeback and clinched three points from the away side. After winning the match, the celebrations were also quite wild. Just days after pulling off one of the best wins of the season, Wrexham went on to play another match. However, it seems they didn’t get out of their celebration mood as they played a goalless draw against Barnet yesterday.

Wrexham traveled to The Hive Stadium, where they were held by the home side. Both sides couldn’t conjure up a win and had to settle for a draw. The result wasn’t the only thing that may have upset the owners, as after the match both Reynolds and McElhenney got into a bit of an internet brawl.

Wrexham owners rip rival’s goalkeeper

The draw wasn’t the only blunder, as one Wrexham player, Callum McFadzean, got sent off. Unfortunately, the player got red-carded after a clumsy challenge to Barnet’s goalkeeper, Laurie Walker. Although the away side defended the red card, the referee was clear about his decision. The decision was later slammed by Phil Parkinson as well.

But it seems the away side goalkeeper didn’t take it well, as after the match he took a cheeky dig at Reynolds and the coach by tweeting, “@VancityReynolds, how’s my acting skills mate, think I could play a part in your next film. I think your gaffer thinks I could.” However, the tweet was somehow deleted. Either way, it still somehow caught the eye of the owners.

Already unhappy with the bitter draw, Reynolds and McElhenney checked their phones, and the pair were definitely not impressed with what they saw. Hence, both thought to give a savage reply to the away goalkeeper. Ryan posted a screenshot of the tweet on Instagram stories and wrote, “I’d offer to get you a SAG card but the risk of paper cut is too high.”

A SAG card is basically an actor’s card that is earned throughout the years. Hence, Reynolds suggested giving Walker that. McElhenney also joined the brawl and tweeted, “I thought ‘own goals’ could only happen during the actual game.”

Both definitely gave cheeky replies to the away goalkeeper, and the fans must have also loved it. Either way, the draw still poses many questions about their chances to get promoted.
