Alexis Ohanian received ‘hate tweets’ for his investment

In a past tweet, Alexis revealed how people doubted him for his investment in women’s soccer. “Everyone gets fed differently, but it’s important to stay motivated! You should see all the hate tweets I’ve saved from people 3 years ago who said I’d lose all my money investing in women’s soccer.” Ohanian replied to a tweet.

Ohanian really proved these haters wrong as the team was a big success. It’s great to see that despite the negativity, Ohanian has stuck to his investment and is now reaping the rewards. It goes to show that you should always trust your gut and have faith in your convictions.

Serena Williams ACFC has been a success

To start, the club sold out its entire allocation of around 15,000 season tickets before even playing a single game. This is an incredible feat, made even more impressive when you consider that Angel City’s home ballpark, Banc of California Stadium, also happens to be home to MLS’s LA Galaxy. In fact, Angel City outsold the Galaxy in season ticket sales in the 2022 season.

The team is averaging almost 19,000 fans per game. This is an incredible number for any soccer team, let alone an expansion team. It’s clear that the people of Los Angeles have taken the team to their hearts and are eager to support them.
