“I Would Love to Sing Shakira” – Amid Constant Public Scrutiny, 3X Grammy Winner Expresses Desire to Cover Gerard Pique’s Ex Following Controversial Track Release With Her Kids

In the last few weeks, Shakira has been subject to constant public criticism. After a successful phase with her diss tracks, she released a new track including her kids. While it sounded glorious, the new song also brought too many controversies. Reportedly, the Waka–Waka singer didn’t inform Gerard Pique that she would publicly showcase Milan and Sasha in its official music video.

But amid all the drama and chaos, an award-winning singer recently complimented Shakira. She spoke about the Colombian icon’s first album and expressed her desire to cover her music in the near future.

A 3X Grammy Award winner has good things to say about Shakira!

The person in the limelight is Kelly Clarkson. Over the years, Clarkson has dominated the music scene with a few great tracks namely Stronger, Because of You, Underneath the Tree, and many more. In recent times, the American singer had gone live on social media. During the interaction, she was talking to her fans about different topics.

All of a sudden, Shakira’s name came up in the chat, and the 3X Grammy Award winner couldn’t contain her excitement. Clarkson wrote, “Oh, I would love to sing Shakira. People don’t know this but I was a fan of Shakira like in high school with her Spanish album. My friend introduced me to her and she was singing in Spanish and then she came out with, is it called laundry service?”.

“Her first English album I think was called laundry service. Anyway, I love her! Great writer, great performer, cool singer…I love her voice! I would cover her [music]”. The iconic singer and TV show host is renowned for her covers as well as originals. It would be interesting if it leads to an upcoming cover from Clarkson or hopefully even a collaboration!

It was quite a moment of joy for ‘Team Shakira’ although it was amidst the harsh circumstances in recent times surrounding an additional lawsuit from Pique.

Gerard Pique is reportedly extremely unhappy with the Colombian singer. She apparently did not inform Pique about anything surrounding Acrostico, the new song. The FC Barcelona legend also came to know about Milan’s music debut, along with the fans. Shakira is already facing a tough time with her tax fraud trial, and facing another lawsuit is the last thing she would want to do.

The soccer veteran’s best friend publicly called Acrostico a ‘sad’ song in a reaction video. After the lengthy tribute post on Instagram from Milan and Sasha, she hasn’t commented anything further on this topic. Even Gerard Pique has seemingly kept his cards very close to his chest this time. The jury is out there on what could happen next in the Pique – Shakira controversy.
