Al Nassr is on fire this season. While it has been possible due to the collective effort of players and staff, a special commendation goes to Luis Castro, who has significantly turned the table around for Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. But it seems the Portuguese manager is dreaming big, as he wants to savor the taste of success with his country’s national team or while taking charge of a premium overseas team.

While bidding farewell to 2023, Luis Castro subtly revealed his future after Al Nassr. In the interview, he said, After victory, I would like to coach the Portugal national team or one of the Premier League teams.” It seems the 62-year-old veteran boss has already signaled to the Os Navegadores that he is available to take the coaching position if Roberto Martinez fails to impress. Additionally, the former Shakhtar Donetsk manager is eyeing the intensity of the ever-famous English Premier League. However, either of these events will transpire only if he can achieve success with Al Nassr. Notably, Castro’s contract will expire on June 30, 2025.

Perhaps the contract extension with the Knights of the Najd depends on the outcome of this season. As of now, they are sitting behind Al Hilal with a seven-point gap. On the other hand, they qualified for the RO16 of the AFC Champions League. They will now return to action in February, during which they will also play a friendly against Lionel Messi and Co. While Castro’s plans are sorted, let’s hear what is on the mind of his team’s biggest star.

After Luis Castro, what is Ronaldo thinking about his future?

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently under contract with Al Nassr until June 30, 2025, and until then, he will turn 40. While it is a million-dollar question whether he’ll continue playing, a revered Saudi Arabian journalist, Ali Al-Harbi, earlier gave a huge update on his future. He claims the striker will keep his ties with the Middle Eastern side even if he decides to hang up his boots.

Al-Harbi insists that Ronaldo has made Al Nassr his home, and the player is grateful to the club for changing his life. While claiming that the ‘yellow and blue’ side has become an ‘integral part of his life,’ the journalist claims that for Ronaldo, it is ‘difficult to leave this club.’ Either way, only time will answer all these questions.
