Eyeing the 2026 World Cup

With the 2026 World Cup heading to the USA, Ronaldo would be 41. Despite the age factor, history shows that soccer players do not retire even if they reach their 40s. Take former MLS player Zlatan Ibrahimovic for example. He recently received a call-up back into the Sweden national team setup at 41. Considering Ronaldo’s fitness levels, he could play until 45. Thus, the World Cup dream probably is not over for Ronaldo.
