“I Will Not Tolerate All This [Hugh] Jackman Praise” – Deadpool Star Ryan Reynolds Hilariously Pokes Fun During Wrexham’s Recent Game

Ryan Reynolds is among the favorite actors in Hollywood. Besides being a great actor, he has become a symbolic personality in the world of soccer. After taking over the Welsh soccer club, Wrexham AFC, he has become a hero for the Wrexham fans and community.

Ryan along with his co-owner Rob Mcelhenney brought the club back in 2021 and since then has done a great job. Once a club that was struggling is now at the top of the fifth-division National League.

They are looking great under the new ownership, and the dream of getting into the Premier League is still alive. Fans hail the Deadpool star and are bracing for promotion to the fourth league.

Ryan Reynolds takes a cheeky dig at Hugh Jackman

Besides his great acting and the work he has done for the club, Ryan is quite witty on his social media as well. During a recent match of Wrexham against Gateshead FC, Heed Army, a podcast channel was as usual giving live commentary.

Hence, during the live commentary, they probably praised Hugh Jackman. Ryan might have listened to that and he gave a cheeky response and tweeted, “I will not tolerate all this Jackman praise, boys.”

It was a brazen response from the star, to which Heed Army replied “I will rectify this in the second half x.”

The match was however in Wrexham’s favor as they clinched an easy 0-3 victory against Gateshead. The Welsh side took a lead in the second half thanks to later strikes from O’Connor, Palmer, and Mullin.

After the match ended, Ryan again tweeted on their page, appreciating the podcast channel for their commentary. “You guys were utterly fantastic… thank you for hosting us. Wish I could have been there in person.”

The friendly feud goes a long way back

One must be wondering why Ryan took a friendly dig at Hugh Jackman. Well, this is because the two share quite an amiable yet bantering friendship.

Their feud first began on the sets of the 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The reason was revealed by Jackman in 2020, that back when Ryan was married to Scarlet Johansson, he taunted Jackman to stay on his best behavior with his then-wife.

Since then, both have been pulling each other’s legs on social media. From making fake political ads for each other to teaming up for a charity donation, they have a unique mix of friendship.

Even today, both have a buffoonery side for each other, which shows how unbreakable their bond is. We can’t wait for Hugh Jackman’s response to this!
