Saudi side Al Nassr broke some unfortunate news for soccer fans across China, with the side indefinitely postponing their tour of China. Despite being present in the country, the team had to take a last-minute call to call off the planned friendly fixtures. While fans may be disappointed with the news, Al Nassr skipper Cristiano Ronaldo has made a massive promise to the fans.

Cristiano and his side were set to take on CSL teams Shanghai Shenhua & Zhejiang in club friendlies later this week. However, the Portuguese superstar was yet to recover from his injury, which forced the organizers to call off the planned tour. The tour planners have quickly jumped into damage control and announced fans will get a full refund for all tickets, bookings, and arrangements.

Cristiano Ronaldo was present during Al Nassr’s press conference earlier tonight, with the side postponing their scheduled tour of China. The Al Nassr skipper addressed the fans during the press conference, stating, “I can see people outside supporting me and encouraging Al Nassr, but I promise you that I will be back with my team to participate again.”

According to reports from multiple media sources, the Portuguese superstar is nursing a muscular issue. The player is reportedly not at his physical best and missed the team’s training sessions earlier this month. Al Nassr has been out of action since December, with the team playing Al Taawoun in their last fixture before the mid-season break.

The tour organizers have decided to refund all the fans who made any purchases related to the fixture. While fans will surely be disappointed with the recent turn of events, it will be interesting to see if the Al Nassr skipper can find his fitness in the coming weeks.

Al Nassr’s announcements shocked fans, with many expressing their disappointment over the news. However, the tour organizers might have some silver lining for the fans amidst the unfortunate news. The organizers commented on the news during the press conference stating, “I am very sorry to inform you that the Al Nassr Winter Tour will be postponed due to physical reasons for Cristiano Ronaldo. Fans will be refunded their tickets in full and will also be reimbursed for their flight and hotel tickets.”

With the player yet to recover from his injury, fans are now worried if the player will recover in time for his clash against Lionel Messi. Al Nassr is set to take on Inter Miami on the 1st of February in a high-octane clash billed as the ‘Last Dance’. Ronaldo’s absence could pour cold water on RSA plans, with the Saudi Soccer body hoping to attract massive attendance for the clash.
