What did Reynolds remind the fans about?

Exactly a year ago, Wrexham was facing Stockport in the FA Trophy semi-final. Without a doubt, it was destined to be a close contest between the two teams. While the fans weren’t expecting a clear-cut winner, they also weren’t expecting the game to go down to the wire. At the end of normal time (90mins), the scoreline was still 0-0.

The pressure was starting to build on both sides, especially Wrexham. The referee had added four minutes of stoppage time. While the stadium awaited a breathtaking result, Paul Mullin rose to the occasion. The super striker scored two goals in 4 minutes to win the game. Funnily enough, both those goals were sneaky chips over the goalie.

This was the moment Reynolds wanted to remind the Wrexham fans about. He posted a clip of the final minutes of that game and wrote, “I’ve never yelled this loud in my life. I thought I was gonna die when he put that ball in the air like that.” Despite not winning the final and not securing promotion, the club and its fans did not lose hope.

Meanwhile, Reynolds and his team have come back much stronger this season, and just recorded a historic 100 points for the season.

Wrexham is on the verge of securing automatic promotion!
