Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, two of the greatest soccer players of all time, have both enjoyed legendary status for many years. Throughout their rise to the top, there have been few players fortunate enough to be part of the same dressing rooms with both of them. One of them being Argentine and AS Roma star, Paulo Dybala. Dybala was part of the Argentine World Cup-winning squad when Lionel Messi and company had their glorious run in Qatar.
From 2018 to 2021, Paulo Dybala shared the dressing room with Cristiano Ronaldo when the Portuguese joined the Italian champions, Juventus. Paulo Dybala recently shed some light on his relationship with Ronaldo during their time together at Juventus.

The relationship between Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo
Recently, Paulo Dybala appeared in an interview with DAZN Heroes. He shed some light on his relationship with Ronaldo and the rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo. The now AC Roma player detailed, “At Juventus, it was three good years with Cristiano Ronaldo. The team was very strong and he brought us something extra. In Argentina, the rivalry between Messi and Cristiano is to feel deeply. Obviously, as a child, I was always on Messi’s side,” reminisces the striker.
Dybala then, at that point, further uncovered a story as he itemized how he used to detest Ronaldo in the Messi-Ronaldo rivalry as a youngster. “Once we were going to play an away match, I was at the back of the plane. And CR7 was sitting up front,” Dybala said. “At one point, he approached me to talk to me about football and a lot of other things, we talked about our life in general and at one point I said to him: ‘I I practically hated it when I was a kid’. We laughed about it”.

Dybala’s decision to select Messi while hating Ronaldo as a child is not out of the ordinary. His Argentina background for which Messi has achieved so much, is unquestionably a significant influence on his feelings. However, the 29-year-old did clear the air by suggesting that he and the Portuguese striker had a “good relationship.”
