A host of players have been linked with a potential move to Saudi Arabia. Every day, the majority of the player’s name is taken in the Gulf country. This time the protagonist is yet another Real Madrid star and Benzema’s former teammate, Ferland Mendy. Apparently, the Frenchman’s name has been summoned by a Pro League side.
According to reports from Cadena SER and MARCA, the defender has received an inquiry from a club in Arabia regarding his current status in Carlo Ancelotti’s team. Furthermore, the inquiry comes with an exceptionally appealing offer for the player to reconsider leaving the Spanish capital during this transfer window.
However, it’s likely the wingback will consider the offer. At the age of 28, Mendy still has the opportunity to compete at the top level. Moreover, he is determined to regain his best form to contribute significantly to the Los Blancos’ success and add more trophies to his collection. Likewise, his manager also emphasized his importance to the team.

However, the white club manager, Carlo Ancelloti, expressed his concern for the player while emphasizing his importance.

“Obviously I want him to stay next season. Last season he showed a high-level defensive solidity and now, that he is recovered, he will be important again. Because he is. He has recovered well from injuries,” he said during Madrid’s last season clash with Valencia. The Italian coach backed the Frenchman while also ruling out the club’s intention to sell the player. Regardless of all the rumors, only time will tell what lies in Mendy’s future.
