Fresh faces are imminent for Wrexham soccer club considering their leap to the EFL League Two. They won the title and celebrated promotion to the higher leagues. Therefore, things look good for the club, looking to stitch the side to stay up in the next season.
For that, there are various targets owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney had in their minds. Retired Welsh legend Gareth Bale was high on the list. It all started with a tweet from Rob stating how he wanted to sign Bale. But soon, it gathered pace, and fans loved the pursuit of a proper superstar.
However, many fans thought the pursuit to be a joke. Yet, as revealed in a recent interview, Rob was pretty serious in his chase. Imagine Bale running down the wings and assisting Mullin. It would be a sight to behold.

Rob McElhenney admits being serious about bringing Gareth Bale to Wrexham
In an exclusive interview, the host questioned Rob’s plans to bring Bale and wanted him at the club. Rob replied, “I think there’s seriousness from our side, but I don’t know that there’s seriousness from his. I think he’s happy.” Because of their Hollywood star power, the club can goof around with people with the positive vibes they bring with them.
Likewise, Ryan added to the pursuit of Bale. He replied, “I’m also weirdly happy for him to do exactly what he wants to do with his life. He’s given up so much for a sport that he loves. It’s fun, though. I like that we can kind of do some stuff that’s a little outside the box of convention when it comes to goofing around.” He also stated how he goofed around with Ben Foster when he arrived. So nothing is impossible.
The reality of the situation is Bale wants to make inroads with golf after expressing his love for the sport. According to ESPN, he replied, “No I don’t think so,” when asked about a potential signing to Wrexham. Hence, looking at the deal, it looks unlikely.

Does the English soccer club need players?
One question that arises in people’s minds is whether the club needs players. Many teams bring in fresh faces to add to the squad depth but end up failing when the season starts. There is a sense of unity and togetherness with title-winning teams, and one rotten egg could spoil the entire basket. Phil Parkinson has assembled a good squad, and player dynamics are crucial for a team to do well.
The signing of players is crucial, however. The more skilled players in the team, the more likely the club to remain in the division. So, the next few weeks would be critical for the club’s success in the future. Cam Wrexham think out of the box and strike a deal for Gareth Bale?
