Cristiano Ronaldo‘s former manager has dropped a big bombshell. The former Real Madrid manager revealed that he had been offered an eye-watering $31 million to move to Neymar’s Al Hilal, but he rejected the offer. The Saudi Pro League has been pretty active in its pursuit of attracting some of the biggest names across Europe.

Al Hilal had been linked to multiple names last season for their head coach position. While the side was interested in securing the services of Brazilian legend Tite, they settled on Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus. However, things could have been completely different if Cristiano Ronaldo’s former manager had agreed to Al Hilal’s deal.

Soccer journalist Fabrizio Romano took to his social media handle minutes ago as he broke down the offer made to veteran manager Jose Mourinho. Neymar’s side Al Hilal was interested in securing the services of the former Real Madrid manager and was willing to shell out a massive $31 million to secure his signatures.

Jose Mourinho has been having a tough time at Italian side Roma as of late. While the Portuguese manager has produced some excellent results for the club in the past, things are far from ideal for the ‘Special One’.

Al Hilal, before the ongoing season, was linked to multiple names for their open head coach position. However, after being snubbed by Jose Mourinho and Tite, the side decided to settle on Jorge Jesus.

Mourinho has already spoken about the offers from Saudi Arabia in his press conferences. The Roma manager has said that he wants to remain at the club as he’s promised the club and the players that he will be there for them.

In a recent press conference, Mourinho slammed the fans who claimed that he was the problem and that he needed to leave the club.

“What I can say is that three months ago, it was almost a drama to think that I could leave. In Budapest, on the pitch, I told the players that I would stay. After the Spezia game, I reiterated it to the fans, and three days later I gave my word to [president Dan] Friedkin.”

“In the summer I had the biggest, most important, and craziest job offer that a coach has ever had in the history of football: I rejected it precisely because of my word. Now it seems like I’m a problem, I don’t accept it. I don’t accept it because it’s not true. I’m not a problem.”
